Driven by an intense interest in the intellectual process of conceptualizing and materializing architectural spaces, he began his architectural studies and earned his title as an Architect from the Alfonso X el Sabio University (Madrid).
After several years of collaboration with the Madrid-based architectural firm Modulab, where he gained expertise in the industrialization and energy efficiency of buildings, he pursued a Master’s degree. He obtained the title of Master in Pathology, Surveying, and Energy Rehabilitation of Historical Heritage of Madrid from the European University (Madrid). At this point, he focused his professional career on the restoration, conservation, and energy rehabilitation of historical buildings, notably his collaboration on the proposed restoration work for the Palace of Boadilla del Monte.
As part of the Engineering and Construction department at the firm Baukost – Surveying and Technical Consulting, where he obtained his FUEDÍ accreditation, he simultaneously pursued studies at the University of Granada. He partnered with the architect Ariel Polanco and the interior design studio Kreativita Infinita, led by Amelie Serrano, who gave him his first opportunity to work on the UNESCO-declared historical heritage site of the Old Town of Panama.
Acting as Project Director, he and Kreativita carried out new construction, rehabilitation, and interior design projects, notably the remodeling of the Hostal Panamericana, now Casacasco, which was awarded the CAPAC 2016 Grand Prize for Excellence.
From that point on, both firms merged and worked together on consulting and conceptualizing residential and tertiary-use projects, and are currently highly involved in the urban development of Hacienda Country Club (Cerro Azul).
Pecino Arquitectos expanded its horizons by forging relationships with Grupo Dekel and Selina Hostel, with whom it collaborated on remodeling and expansion projects. Notable work includes their intervention at Casa Norias in the Old Town and in hotel complexes located in the provinces of Pedasí and Bocas del Toro.
In parallel, and in collaboration with private investors such as Guam Holding Corp., Hacienda Country Club, and Grupo Green Valley, he presented proposals for new, high- and medium-density residential projects. He also conceptualized the rehabilitation of the San Expedito building, which is located in the exemplary Old Town of Panama.
From 2017 to 2019, under the consortium formed by the companies China Construction America and Cocige S.A., he led the technical office for the construction of the emblematic Panama Convention Center. Together with Panamanian and international contractors from China, Europe, Brazil, and the United States, they successfully coordinated and integrated all architectural systems and components, drafting the necessary technical information for its construction.
Currently, and since 2020, he has been part of the Technical Department of the prestigious architectural firm Mallol Arquitectos, providing services in construction inspection, coordination, and technical consulting on both institutional and residential projects for developers such as Grupo Los Pueblos, The Velopers, and Ingeniería RM.
